School Wide Achievement Goals (SWAGs)

  • Effective Communication: Students will communicate well-organized ideas to audiences clearly, concisely, and appropriately in oral, visual, and written forms.
  • Collaboration: Students will develop the skills to work with others in a professional and civil manner. This requires self-awareness, understanding effective group dynamics, and project management skills.
  • Critical Thinking: Students will comprehensively explore issues, ideas, artifacts, events, and other positions before accepting or formulating an opinion or conclusion. This involves higher order thinking skills such as analysis, synthesis, and evaluation; making connections across disciplines; applying scientific methods to the inquiry process.
  • Creativity: Students will combine or synthesize new ideas, practices, or expertise in original ways that are characterized by innovation, divergent thinking, and risk taking.
  • Community Engagement: Students will recognize that they are part of many communities and will meaningfully contribute to and actively work in the benefit of these communities.
